چکیده

The combination of time division multiple access (TDMA) and non-orthogonal (NOMA), referred to as hybrid TDMA-NOMA system, is considered a potential solution meet the unprecedented requirements for future wireless networks. While recent resource allocation techniques aiming individually maximize either spectral efficiency (SE) or energy (EE), this paper considers an SE-EE trade-off based technique system. This design offers additional degree freedom in allocation. proposed formulated non-convex multi-objective optimization (MOO) problem. MOO framework reformulated single-objective (SOO) problem by combining multi-objectives through weighted-sum objective function. With this, each original objectives assigned with weight factor reflect its importance design. Then, sequential convex approximation (SCA) second-order cone (SOC) approach are jointly utilized deal non-convexity issues SOO Simulation results reveal that strikes good balance between functions, while meeting instantaneous

Hybrid Energy Supply based Energy Efficiency and Spectral Efficiency Tradeoff for Green Cellular System

The tradeoff between energy efficiency (EE) and spectral efficiency (SE) under the smart grid with joint energy harvesting and grid power supply is considered. The price factor in economics is used to propose the economic EE and SE. Then a new EE-SE tradeoff metric called the EE-SE adaptive tradeoff (ESAT) is built under the fluctuating harvesting energy. Furthermore, the offline optimization p...

Closed-form Approximation for the Trade-Off between Energy Efficiency and Spectral Efficiency in the Uplink of Cellular Network

In this paper we propose a tight closed-form approximation of the Energy Efficiency vs. Spectral Efficiency (EESE) trade-off for the uplink of a cellular communication system. We model the uplink of the cellular system by considering the Wyner model with Raleigh fading. We first demonstrate the accuracy of our expression by comparing it with Monte-Carlo simulation and the EE-SE trade-off expres...
